Endeavor Schools welcomes its newest school in Alpharetta, Georgia, Oak Grove Academy

Endeavor Schools, a leading education management company, welcomes its newest school, Oak Grove Academy. With a large presence in the State of Georgia already, Endeavor Schools is pleased to add another school to its network. Since 1998, Oak Grove Academy has maintained its excellence and dedication in providing education for children from the age of infancy through kindergarten. Oak Grove Academy offers various programs including STREAM, after school, and summer camp.

Oak Grove Academy’s mission is to provide children with the foundation to develop confidence and achieve academic success, so they reach their full potential in becoming outstanding and responsible citizens. The faculty and educators give the utmost importance to the individuality of each child. The curriculum and learning environments cater to multi-dimensional experiences that students have the freedom to choose from. The Four C’s of 21st Century Learning are always implemented in their classrooms and taken into consideration – critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity.

Year after year, Oak Grove Academy has been named “Preschool of the Year” in North Atlanta. Oak Grove prides itself specifically in having a diverse staff from all over the globe. “We are thrilled to continue expanding our greater Atlanta presence with the addition of Oak Grove Academy. This is a wonderful school with a passionate staff who are aligned with Endeavor’s overall mission in helping the children we serve thrive. We are proud to support the school through a significant facility update and remodel in the first year with us.” said Danielle Millman, Chief Operations Officer.

What sets Oak Grove Academy apart is how it approaches content areas within their curriculum. They understand that children draw upon multiple content areas and skillsets when solving problems. Oak Grove utilizes an interdisciplinary curriculum also referred to as STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading and Writing, Engineering, the Arts and Math). For example, instead of separating science out in isolation, it is explored right along with math, utilizing the arts, technology, and engineering. And, as science is explored, reading and writing is introduced. Dr. Amy Brereton, Vice President for Academics, explains that “in today’s society, it is becoming increasingly important to include an interdisciplinary curriculum that is rooted in children’s questions and observations. When children learn at a young age that they are capable of asking big questions and working in collaboration with peers and teachers to explore these questions using an interdisciplinary approach, they identify themselves as people capable of using an array of intellectual, social and technical tools to solve real problems. They become aware of their own intellectual and social power and how to use these powers in positive ways from the youngest age.”

Oak Grove Academy is also known for its fun-filled summer program. At Oak Grove Academy’s Summer Camp, children have a variety of activities to participate in – from individual and group sports, to arts and crafts, to field trips and private movie screenings. The summer programs are available for children ages 4-12 years old.

At Oak Grove Academy, the safety of the students is a top priority. The campus is securely fenced, and the entrance to the school is monitored electronically. All classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art cameras that are accessible for parents to view in real-time through an encrypted phone app.

Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!

Below please find the welcome message shared with our School Leaders today on our company call by our CEO, Ricardo Campo:

As we kick off a new school year, I want to take a moment to honor each of you.  As you know, our core values spell out “RESPECT.”  I want to thank each of your for embracing this pillar and recognize the RESPECT we as a team have for the children and families we serve, for our profession and for each other.  This RESPECT is what has fueled our drive to continue to grow and improve.  Many of you know that I’m a fan of professor Carol Dweck’s book Mindset, and many of you have read the book.  One of my favorite quotes from that book is “Becoming is Better than Being.”  We here are all passionate about education and about unleashing individual potential.  We have been given a special gift – a PURPOSE.  We have an opportunity to be the spark the children we serve need to become lifelong learners.  We also have the opportunity to be that spark for each other.  So, let’s embrace this journey that we are on together; let’s embrace the notion of “Becoming.”  Let’s celebrate that our purpose does not have a shelf life – because when it comes to our potential to continue to grow, there is no finish line!

So, as we kick off this new school year, I want to invite all of us to embrace our values, and to continue to let RESPECT be what guides our interactions with all of our stakeholders.  And, I’d like to invite you to set lofty goals for yourselves, for your schools, and for your teams.  Let’s encourage each other to Dream Big.  Let’s help each other achieve these dreams.  I’m so excited to hear about your goals and aspirations for this school year!
